1952: EXPLODED VIEW DOWNTOWN TRENTON STATE AND BROAD

What a familiar sight! Look at all the downtown shoppers milling around the busiest intersection in Mercer County back in the year 1952. You can see the news stand that was on the corner of State and Broad just outside the window of J.B.Wilson's Store. And of course, let's not forget that "Futuramic" Oldsmobile heading in our direction as it passes an oncoming
Trenton Transit Bus No. 545.

Ahhh, my year of first grade at Harrison School. The sign on the street light pole says something about Little League World series in august of that year. Flags were up and it looks like it was memorial Day or July Fourth in Downtown.

I can smell the peanuts and popcorn, the hot dogs and even the streetside itself. If I recall correctly, we stopped to feed the pigeons on that very corner. Let's stop at Fanny Farmer's for some candy while we're in town!
