Even though this pre-dates the September, 1939 Nazi invasion of Poland, this article has been assigned to the "WWII" folder in the Hamilton Library Local History Collection. Little did we know back there in 1935 that there would be a Jewish Holocaust where the "Final Solution" would result in unspeakable atrocities.
I couldn't resist posting this incredible article from 1930 where the cross on Freehold's St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church took on an ethereal glow which coincided with the passing of the churches beloved Pastor at the time, Monsignor Frederick Kevelitz. Thousands of citizens flocked to the town to witness the appellation from above.
