1909: FIRE DESTROYS THE KLOCKNER FARMSTEAD

AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE ABOVE ARTICLE FROM 1909, THE KLOCKNER FARM WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED BY A TERRIBLE FIRE IN MID-WINTER, 1909. TWENTY COWS WERE DESTROYED IN THE CONFLAGRATION, AND SIX BUILDING DESTROYED. PART OF THE WINDMILL CAN BE SEEN ON THE GROUND IN THE LOWER PHOTO.

1907: Daniel Klockner Farm Sold

Here's an account of the sale of the huge Klockner farm over in the area of the old New Jersey State Fair in the Klockner Road area. The Klockner's had a locally famous cabbage farm back in the 19th and early 20th century.
