1988: ST. JAMES P.E. CHURCH: IN THE BEGINNING

Before I converted to Catholicism, I was a communicant at St. James when the church was located on Greenwood and South Logan Avenues. The legendary church has a fascinating history, going back to its very earliest years to the "Wigwam" over on E. State Street in the Wilbur section of Trenton. "White Flight" resulted in the church re-locating way out in the suburbs down South Broad Street near Allentown.

1914: ST. JAMES P.E. CHURCH

FROM THE "WILBUR" FOLDER, THIS GRAPHIC WHICH ONCE AGAIN CONTAINS A FAMILY SURNAME FROM KNOWN VISITORS TO THIS WEB SITE. EDDIE LAYTON, IF YOU ARE STILL WITH ME, ARE THESE TWO LAYTONS RELATED TO YOUR FAMILY? THE "ORIGINAL CHURCH" REFERRED TO IN THE CAPTION STILL STANDS AS DESCRIBED ON E. STATE ST. AT GARFIELD AVENUE. IT IS CURRENTLY THE HOME OF THE REHEBOTH CHURCH.
