1882: FRANKLIN SCHOOL AREA

I recently came into possession of a rare 1882 wall map of the city of Trenton and parts of Hamilton Township. It is a fascinating map showing the area from today's St. Francis Hospital eastward to Olden Avenue as open land owned by Davit Quintin and Samuel Wilson.

1937: FRANKLIN, ROEBLING, MCCLELLAN, MOTT, AND MOSES SCHOOL

Here is another post from the Trenton Evening Times' 1937 series of articles on the schools in the city of Trenton. I have consolidated two of them into one graphic; more to come.

1918: FRANKLIN SCHOOL CLASS OF 1918

Based on many emails and verbal converations, these old class photos are one of the more popular graphics on this website, probably due to their value inm genealogical research, or for visitors who are interested in finding parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, and other relatives and friends. This class photo shows a Maxwell Solomon, and I would just bet that this is a blood relative of my veterinarian, Dr. Maxwell Solomon. I will see that he gets a copy.

1914: DEDICATION OF TRENTON'S FRANKLIN SCHOOL

Due to their size, I had to download two separate graphics for this post, detailing the dedication of Trenton's Franklin School. Therefore, I would ask that you click on each graphic individually in order to acheive maximum size. The photo of the Franklin School is just plain beautiful!

Trenton's Franklin School, Ca. 1915

Here's another winner from my postcard photo collection. The detail on the photo is incredible. It has been scanned in at a higher than normal resolution in order that the viewer of this pic might get a real "closeup" look at the building. It is probably the source of many pleasant memories to those Trentonians who attended Franklin.
