The concept of the old one room school house from the 1800's has always held a certain fascination for me. The concept of a single room with a teacher teaching multiple classes in the same room is absolutely fascinating. On the other hand, back in those one room school years, private schools flourished. As can be seen in the photo above and the descriptive caption to the right of the photo Anna North held forth in a multi room school house located smack dab in the middle of downtown Trenton.
