1905: THE McGALLIARD HOMESTEAD

White Horse, Hamilton Township is said to be the first Christmas Tree farm in America. Of course that can't be proven, but until someone comes along from New Jersey with an earlier date than McGalliard's 1901 venture.

Tom - The photo on your blog showing State and Broad at Christmas is my very favorite! The large chandelier decoration in the middle of the intersection was so fascinating when I was a child. Thanks for a great Christmas memory. Lakeside Girl
PS The new Trenton Historical Society calendar has a great photo of this with the chandelier.

Great photo of the house. Looks a lot like my favorite HHS teacher, Henry Kauffman's house, on East Side of White Horse Mercerville Road not too far from Rte 33.
