comes to us courtesy of Mr.Tom Tighue, former Ewing Township Councilman, and Mayor of Ewing Township . It is a very poignant reminder of Trenton during the Great Depression. It is assumed that these gentlemen are part of Franklin D. Roosevelt's "WPA;" or as we knew the Works Progress Administration.

This would be a great program to bring back. This program would bring jobs so people can earn their money and help the community.
HI TOM....THE WPA, PWA, NYA AND MANY OTHER PROJECTS WERE VERY HELPFUL DURING THE GREAT DEPRESSION OF THE 30'S, THE CCC WAS ALSO VERY USEFUL IN GIVING PEOPLE AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET ALONG. PRESISENT ROSEVELT'S TIME IN OFFICE DID A TERRIFIC JOB OF GETTING THINGS BACK TO NORMAL IN THOSE DAYS. THE 40'S PRODUCED MANY FINE OPPORTUNITES FOR ME, BEST REGARDS.
