How sad that a once great Trenton house of worship has become the victim of obsolescence. As can be seen in the superimposed graphic from another file indicating that all records from the closed church have been transferred to Trenton's Our Lady of Angels Church. I find that one of the most fascinating areas of research lies in the early immigrants to our country and those who settled in Trenton. Their stories almost without exception reflect a fierce desire to learn our customs, speak our language, and form their own houses of worship.I would wager that any local citizens of Hungarian descent were saddened by the loss of their home church.

MY BROTHER LOU WAS MARRIED AT ST. STEVENS AROUND 1930 AND HAD THE RECEPTION AT HUNGARIAN HALL. I CAN RECALL GOING TO THE VICTORY THEATRE RIGHT DOWN THE STREET THAT AFTERNOON TO SEE THE STAGE SHOW AND MOVIE. BEST REGARDS.
