1906: THE TROLLEY COMES TO HAMILTON

As can be seen in the above article, there were some dissenting residents of Hamilton Square who were dead set against the establishment of trolley service to their bucolic little village. I suspect that a number of dissenters were from among those who were part of the Temperance movement, and against alcoholic beverages in town. Controversial Pastor of the Hamilton Square Presbyterian Church was one of the leaders against the move.
