
With what must have been an attempt at humor, Mr. George Q. Hammell laid out a parcel of land adjoining Hamilton's "Oldenhurst" area and called it "Newhurst." Today is the area I believe to be Partridge, Ellwood, Edmund between South Olden and Newkirk Avenues. I am not too confident of these boundaries, as I have yet to discover the boundaries of Newhurst, Oldenhurst, and Colonial Park.
