2011: SPRING COMES TO KUSER FARM

This is where I grew up. Just outside the fence on Newkirk Avenue at the corner on Hartley Avenue was the Glover home. The view you are looking at in the photo is far removed from the view it would be were we standing in this location 60 years ago. The "lane," as we called it, was a dirt road. Both sides of the the lane were lined with large Norway Maples. Over to the right beyond the "NO PARKING" sign was a wooded area with Norway Maples planted 10 feet apart and filling the entire area from the lane to the grape arbor.
The photo above of the gazebo was taken this morning, April 13, 2011. It is where I will once again be presenting my summer musical programs.
