If there is one subject which holds a certain amount of historic enchantment in my quest for interesting local history, it is found in my "AUTOMOBILIA" folder; a folder which has grown and will continue to grow by leaps and bounds. What better way to get a lucid view of the very earliest years of the automobile than a comprehensive collection of "HONK! HONK! HONK!"which was a weekly chronicle of persons places and things relating to the automobile. In the "AUTOMOBILIA" folder is a growing collection of these columns from 1907 and 1908. There will be more as they are uncovered. These columns contain interesting bits and pieces of historical items relating to the Walter Automobile Company, the Mercer, and the Sharp Arrow. Above gives an idea revealing interesting local interest items relating to the early years of the horseless carriage in the Trenton area.
