1970: JIM BOUTON A HIT WITH LOCALS

I found the above article fascinating with the reference to our own Mike Angarone. As stated previously in many of my posts, I was absent from Hamilton for many years while commuting to New Brunswick and Monmouth Junction. This article tells how former New York Yankee pitcher Jim Bouton was impressed by the baseball talents of Mike Angarone and his potential for bigger things in professional baseball, Mike is a former Hamilton Councilman and currently the Director of Economic Development and Technology in Hamilton. He was a highly respected member of "The Rafferty Team." According to those who know, Mike had real potential to become a professional baseball player while he was a college student at Georgia Southern.
