1909: GOODBYE TO THE "EWING DRIVING PARK"

During the 19th century, the Ewing Driving Park was a very popular destination for those who were interest in the equestrian arts, and horse racing. If any visitors to this website live at or near the area where the park was located, I would appreciate your comments.

Tom,

Once again, I love the posting. As a lifelong resident of the general area, I am always interested in what was in the area years ago and how it developed. I am particularly interested in the accompanying map. Is there any way to post the same map, but blown out just a bit more to show a bit more of the area? Just curious. Thanks again for a great post.

Hi Jay:

Sorry to say that the larger the map area, the less detail I can get in the graphic. In roder to cover a larger area, the size of the graphic increases exponentially and is too cumbersone.

Understood. Is there a place that this particular map can be viewed? I am curious as some of the street names and alignments are different now.
