1947 TRENTON GIANTS

THIS WAS THE ERA WHEN I WAS REALLY HOOKED ON THE TRENTON GIANTS OF THE OLD CLASS "B" INTERSTATE LEAGUE. I WAS ALSO A FAN OF THE LATE GREAT NEW YORK GIANTS, WHO HELD FORTH IN THE OLD POLO GROUNDS IN NEW YORK. WBUD BROADCASTED ALL THEIR GAMES AND I WAS A LOYAL LISTENER IN THOSE YEARS BEFORE TELEVISION. THE TEAMS THEY PLAYED? LET'S SEE....THE WILMINGTON BLUE ROCKS, THE YOUR WHITE ROSES, THE LANCASTER RED ROSES, ALLENTOWN CARDINALS, SUNBURY REDS, AND THE HAGERSTOWN OWLS. THE GAMES BETWEEN WILMINGTON AND TRENTON WERE VERY SIMILAR TO THE RIVALRY BETWEEN THE NEW YORK YANKEES AND THE BOSTON RED SOX.
