Imagine my surprise when I ran across a near and dear friend of mine over the past 45 years. My next door neighbor, the late Ed "Ned" Willever. Ned was another of those members of the "Greatest Generation" who never discussed his WWII exploits. It was only a number of years after getting to know him that I learned that he was a Purple Heart Veteran.

1945: My Next Door Neighbor Ed Willever
Imagine my surprise when I ran across a near and dear friend of mine over the past 45 years. My next door neighbor, the late Ed "Ned" Willever. Ned was another of those members of the "Greatest Generation" who never discussed his WWII exploits.
