In the last half of the 20th century and here in the 21st century, Memorial Day has become just another day off to many citizens; a weekend off to enjoy the beach, or perhaps an outdoor cookout. Our Veterans have given their all for our country. Too many made the supreme sacrifice and should be given at least a moment of reflection on the sacrifices made by these true American heroes.
