IT TURNS OUT THAT THE RESIGNATION OF THE MARIANITE SISTERS AT OUR LADY OF SORROWS WAS ONLY THE TIP THE THE ICEBERG AS THE PARISH EXPERIENCED A CRISIS.

I remember when the convent was on Nottingham Way next to the bank (now the bank parking lot and drive-thru lanes) As a student @ OLS in the early 60's, I spent a few Saturdays raking leaves and doing some minor yard work for the nuns in the convent's yard. Not because I was a good boy, but as punishment for some minor infraction of the rules. It was better than the "ruler across the knuckles"....
