Any ideas on when you'll start posting about Hamilton Township again? Trenton is nice and all, but it's not Hamilton any more than New York or Philadelphia are. Any time I go looking for Hamilton info, it's a broken image that I can't see.
Being a Trenton native, I love seeing all the old photos from some of my favorite city spots. I am probably wrong, but I think Hamilton is part of Mercer County that also includes Trenton. I love NJ and Trenton and am especially happy when I see downtown scenes. Regards
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the site is not called Mercer County Scrapbook from the Local Collection of the Mercer County Library with the Trenton mayor name checked in the masthead. It's Hamilton Scrapbook, but most of the Hamilton scraps I try to look at wind up being giant triangles where images used to be. LOL.
"Anonymous" commented regarding my inclusion of Trenton material on this blog and I am not about to change the composition by concentrating on Hamilton which I am already doing. As Ricky Nelson sang, "you can't please everyone so you gotta please yourself." Not only am I pleasing myself" the close to 1 million visits to this site affirms the fact that many Hamiltonians have roots and indelible memories of the Trenton that was. I will continue to post both Hamilton, Trenton, and Mercer County material. As to the comment regarding the quality of some Trenton images, I pride myself on the quality of my posts and admit that a VERY FEW are from old newspapers from the early 20th century when photographic reproduction was sadly lacking in quality.
Re the "Hamilton scraps" as referred to by anonymous: The "TRIANGLE" with the exclamation was a Google glitch which erased MANY graphics back in 2009 - 2010. I am in the process of trying to restore them. "Anonymous" must have gotten lost in the 8,000 plus posts, many of which relate to Hamilton and as stated above quality graphics.
Way to go Tom -- keep on doing what you do -- a mix of Hamilton, Trenton and Mercer County. Even if you lived, or still live, in Hamilton, you must have shopped in downtown Trenton and how can you not love seeing the streets, stores and other spots that are part of your life? Bring it on Tom. Please.
