1923: BOUNTY FOR A RENEGADE WOLF IN HAMILTON

I found this to be a fascinating article. The Bear Swamp are is that area in the Lawrence-Quaker Bridge-Hutchinsons Mills area of Hamilton.

Tom, did you realize that the Bear Swamp and similar flats were once the watershed of the Millstone as it flowed into the Delaware. It took one "final" geo shift to change the path of the waterway so that the Millstone was then diverted into the Raritan. Those flat areas from the Carnegie Lake and along the main line of the Pennsy Railroad (Amtrack), were the rivers course where it entered at or near the mouth of Crosswicks Creek.
