One hundred years ago, the horrible "Titanic disaster" occurred. One of the local victims was Charles G. Roebling. Here's an August article from the Trenton Daily State Gazette.

Tom, Washington Roebling II, son of Charles Roebling and builder of the Roebling-Planche race car (precursor to the Mercer) was the notable Roebling that was lost on the Titanic.
