This is a beautiful R.C. Maxwell copyrighted photo of the "Green-Mar" area of Trenton, adjacent to Trenton's Sacred Heart Church; the oldest parish in the State of New Jersey which is celebrating its 200th anniversary in this year of 2014. Note the predecessor to Samuel F.B. Light. Note also the Gulf station that is long gone and replaced by a vacant lot.

Tom, My old stomping grounds. Just around the corner on Clay Street.

Tom:
This was taken about the time I made my first communion at Sacred Heart, which is out of frame to the right.
Prior to that I would dash across Broad St. and up Greenwood Ave. after Mass to get to the free candy candy they passed out at
St. Pauls Lutheren Church midway between Sacred Heart and Noels house on Clay St.
After making my communion, I decided I better play on just one team.
I can remember meeting the now famous TV actress Judy Light at the store which took over Mason's old place on the corner.
Regards & good wishes from the frigid South

Mike: A VERY INTERSTING SITUATION WHICH I CANNOT EXPLAIN. THIS, AND A NUMBER OF YOUR RECENT COMMENTS ARE BEING PLACED IN THE "SPAM" SUSPECT CATEGORY. WHY?I HAVE NO IDEA. HOWEVER, YOU CAN BE SURE THAT I ALWAYS EXERCISE THE "NOT SPAM" OPTION AND YOUR COMMENT APPEARS. GO FIGURE.

I lived on the 400 block of Lynwood Avenue from1964 to 1995; is there any way that there would be any old photos of that street. I loved that house.
Let me know..
