I remember the monthly scramble as a kid in about 1951 or so. Mom was a fast walker and keeping up was a challenge but we'd zoom into PSE&G to pay the gas and electric bill and then across the street to the bank and into that cage elevator to our landlord's office to pay the rent. Of course there was the brisk walk home to the Wilbur section to save a few cents on fares.

HI TOM....HOPE YOU GET A GOOD CROWD AY YOUR CONCERT. 1936 WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR FOR ME IN ONE WAY AND DISSAPOINTING IN ANOTHER. I WAS SELECTED TO PLAY BASEBALL WITH THE SCHROTHS TEAM THAT YEAR BUT THE HAMILTON TEAM BEAT US FOR THE FIRST TIME. THEY WENT ON TO WIN THE STATE TITLE. A FEW YEARS LATER I MADE IT ON THE POST OFFICE EXAM AND GOT APPOINTED. FROM THERE UNTIL THE PRESENT I COULD WRITE A BOOK ABOUT THINGS THAT HAVE OCCURED, BEST REGARDS TO YOU AND ALL THE PEOPLE THAT ATTEND YOUR CONCERET.

ONE MORE THING TOM....I WAS WONDERING IF MAYOR YAEDE WAS RELATED TO ED YEADE, WHO PLAYED FOR FRED SCULLY AND THE HAMILTON TEAM IN THE CENTRAL JERSEY LEAGUE OF 1936 AT WETZEL FIELD. I FOLLOWED THAT LEAGUE WHICH WAS DOMINATED BY THE TRENTON CADETS. IT WAS A SEMI-PRO LEAGUE AND DREW GOOD CROWDS. BEST REGARDS.
