1949: THE 400 BLOCK OF EAST STATE STREET

OK so I love these photos with the familiar cream and green colored Trenton Transit buses, This venue was a popular site for the Maxwell photographer as can be seen on many former posts on this site. Were he still with us, my dear friend Leland "Lee" Buker would tell us who drove that route back in 1949.

O BOY TOM....THERE'S ANOTHER SHOT OF THE DINER THAT I HAD BREAKFAST FOR 14 YEARS WHILE WORKING AT THE POST OFFICE. THE MOOSE HALL IS WHERE WE PARKED AND THE FREEWAY WAS ALONGSIDE. RIDER COLLEGE AND THE Y.M.C.A. WAS ALSO IN THE SAME AREA. I HAD MANY CHANCES TO STOP IN THE CITY HALL TO SEE MY OLD FRIEND AND FORMER TEAM MATE, ARTHUR (CHIRP) HOLLAND, THE MAYOR OF TRENTON FOR MANY YEARS. BEST REGARDS.
