1936: YOU'RE ON E. STATE ST. NEAR THE PUBLIC SERVICE BUILDING!

Even though these two modified photos of E. State Street are from 3 years after I was born, the familiar old Public Service building is quite familiar to me. I can remember the many Christmas season visits and other visits I made there when my mom went "up town" to pay our electric bill at the very same building shown in the photo. I have enhanced all of the signs on the various buildings in each photo. They were washed out and very difficult to see.

Ah em: Tom don't you mean "3 years AFTER you were born"
I was walking in with my mother right behind you to pay our electric bill or Laddie McCabe would be coming bye to shut the electric off at our house.
Laddie worked for PSE&G, and lived on the hill between Jackson and Mercer St. overlooking what is now "mill hill park.
The longer he lived here the thicker his broug became.

Best wishes old timer from anothe what I like to call myself," a Senior senior"

Pretty sure that piano store on the right is Mifflin Pianos. It was still going strong in my day (through the 1970s).

In addition to pianos and musical instruments, they used to be a ticket outlet for the Greater Trenton Symphony. For some reason they had access to the best seats in the house at the War Memorial. Here I was, in my late teens. My date and I were sitting next to Mary Roebling in about the third row, center. Unforgettable moments!

Keep it up, and I'll start calling you "Methusela" (sp).

Talk about the Roeblings and thier Mansion like town houses, I always admired the stain glassed windows that adorned these titans of Commerce and Industry's homes.

Be well Ralphie, and Cen't Don!

Mike Kuzma, friend and admirer of your brother Chuck.
