HI TOM...THE DINERS IN THOSE DAYS WERE VERY POPULAR. I HAD BREAKFAST IN ONE EVERY MORNING WHILE WORKING AT THE POST OFFICE. LATER, WHEN WE HAD THE HAMILTON BOWLING LANES, WE WENT TO A DINER AFTER CLOSING EACH NIGHT. JIM CORKADILLIS HAD THE HIGHTSTOWN DINER AND SPONSORED A BOWLING TEAM AT OUR LANES AND GEORGE DEGREE ALSO WAS ANOTHER DINER OPERATOR. WE DON'T SEE THEM MUCH DOWN IN THE SOUTH AND I WONDER IF THEY ARE STILL AROUND THE TRENTON AREA. BEST REGARDS.

NO RALPH, THE OLD "TROLLEY CAR" SHAPED DINER IS A THING OF THE PAST. TODAY WE HAVE VERY LARGE DINING ROOM TYPE DINERS, SOME STILL WITH THE COUNTER. THE FRITZ'S, FLOYD'S, ETC, AND OTHER OLD TIMERS ARE LONG GONE.
