1941: GRAND OPENING OF THE WHITE HORSE BOWLING ACADEMY

I dare say that grand old bowling palace was the most popular venue back in the day. I wasn't and am not a bowling person, but most of my buddies were. Indeed, I would guess that most of the local community visited this legendary bowling academy at one time or another.

SPEAKING ABOUT BOWLING, TOM, WE ALWAYS FELT HAMILTON TOWNSHIP COULD USE MORE BOWLING LANES. MY BROTHER LOU AND I FOUND A WAY TO BUILD MORE LANES ON ROUTE 33 IN 1954. WITH THE HELP OF MANY PEOPLE WE BUILT THE HAMILTON BOWLING LANES AND LEFT CARRYING MAIL AT THE POST OFFICE. CHARLIE FOX, THE OWNER OF WHITE HORSE LANES WAS AMONG THOSE THAT HELPED. WE HAD THE LANES UNTIL 1970 AND THE NEW OWNERS MOVED THE LANES TO KUSER ROAD. AGAIN, REGARDS FOR THE NEW YEAR.

My stepdad's friend was shot dead in the bar area of the White Horse Bowling Academy in the mid-1950s during a robbery there.
