1962: BEFORE WE SUSPECTED "GLOBAL WARMING"

In my many years of living on planet earth, I have witnessed many many many disastrous weather related problems. I was only 4 when the great hurricane of 1937 crippled the northeast and decimated many New England towns. Along with my two army buddies, I drove from Fort Devens Massachusetts to Trenton New Jersey during an un-named hurricane in 1955. The old "Boston Post Road" The great hurricane of 1950 destroyed countless trees at Kuser Farm, knocking down a stand of 30 or more pine trees as if they were matchsticks.

HI TOM....I CAN RECALL THE VERY BAD WINTERS OF THE 20'S. IT SEEMS THERE WAS SNOW AND ICE ON THE GROUND UNTIL APRIL. IT GAVE US KIDS A CHANCE TO EARN A FEW BUCKS SHOVELING NEIGHBORS SIDEWALKS FOR 25 CENTS. I NEVER HAD A BIKE BUT I DID HAVE A FLEXIBLE FLYER SLED AND WE TOOK THE RISK OF HOLDING ON TO THE REAR BUMPER OF CARS. IT WAS A MIRACLE NO ONE WAS HURT. REGAZRDS.

Global warming is a farce. Remember the hurricane in Nov. 1950 that slammed into the Jersey shore? We had a foot of water in our Metedeconk bungalow that was quite a few miles inland from the ocean and of course, this 1962 storm that devastated the area. We've always had severe weather from time to time and will continue to have it, caused by nature, not some trumped up hoax created by people who want to make money off of it.

I remember the loss of 2 nice old folks who ran the Holgate Trailer Park, Gus Lindahl and his wife. Drowned when the Navy Duck sent to rescue them from the Coast Guard Station overturned. I understand the nephew of these Holocaust survivors still manages the place today.

I guess it was the winter of 1990 when we had a few back to back 2' snows and it seemed like a few inches every day. Then around Easter I got a call for a free soil analysis. I asked where he was calling from because I hadn't seen my lawn in months. The company was from Atlanta.
