Another fine view of Trenton's "downtown" area. The Stacy Trenton and Hildebrecht were in their heyday. I still love these old Maxwell photos.

HI TOM...THAT'S WHERE I STARTED MY MAIL ROUTE IN THR 50'S. I HANDLED THE MAIL FOR THE STATE, NUMEROUS DOCTORS, THE ROEBLING FAMILY AND MANY POLITICIANS. THEY GOT 3 DELIVERIES A DAY AND I WALKED UP AND DOWN MANY STEPS. I BELIEVE THAT'S ONE OF THE REASONS THAT I'M STILL AROUND AFTER 93 YEARS. AFTER 3 YEARS I WORKED ON PARCEL POST, THEN MY BROTHER LOU AND I LEFT THE POST OFFICE AND BUILT THE HAMILTON BOWLING LANES ON ROUTE 33 IN HAMILTON SQUARE. THE CITY AT THAT TIME WAS STILL A NICE PLACE TO LIVE WITH THE SLOGAN "TRENTON MAKES THE WORLD TAKES". YOUR SITE BRINGS BACK MANY FOND MEMORIES
