1934: CLASSIC RIVALRY IN TRENTON AREA HIGH SCHOOLS

I met that young fellow Joe Schnorbus during my years as a St. Anthony Parishioner. He was a regular attendee at our annual St. Alphonso weekend July retreats back in the 1980's. I'm confident that Ralph Lucarella knows at least one of these gentleman from the early 1930's.

YOU'RE RIGHT TOM, I WAS IN JUNIOR HIGH IN 1934 BUT FOLLOWED ALL THE HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS. NICK FRASCELLA WENT TO WOOSTER COLLEGE IN OHIO AFTER HIGH SCHOOL AND STAYED OUT THERE A LONG WHILE. HIS BROTHER FRANK WAS A GOOD FRIEND AND FOLLOWED HIS BROTHER AS A STAR IN BASKETBALL. ALL THE OTHER PLAYERS ALSO PLAYED BASEBALL AND COMPETED WITH ME IN LATER YEARS. GIL MUDGE WAS AN OUTSTANDING ATHELETE, AS WERE THE OTHERS. BEST REGARDS.
