Circa 1950: THIS IS THE TRENTON THAT WAS

How I love those birds' eye views! This is the Trenton I remember before all those glass encrusted downtown Trenton State office buildings changed the skyline and the character of the city of Trenton. Look closely and you will see the Stacy Trenton Hotel, the Trenton Trust Building, and who knows what else?

HI TOM....THAT SHOT BRINGS BACK MANY MEMORIES OF DELIVERING MAIL ON THAT BLOCK OF WEST STATE ST. BETWEEN WILLOW AND CALHOUN IN THE 50,S. THEY GOT 3 DELIVERIES A DAY AND I SAW THE GOVERNOR WALK TO THE CARTERET CLUB FOR LUNCH EACH DAY. WE CHATTED AND I ALSO SPOKE WITH MANY OF THE POLITICIANS AT 222 W. STATE ST. ALONG WITH THE DOCTORS THAT LINED THE ROUTE. I WORKED THAT ROUTE FOR 3 YEARS WHILE THE REGULAR CARRIER WAS OFF ON SICK TIME. BEST REGARDS.
