I received a guest book request from Mr. Bob Borden who is looking for information on the old Central Jersey (Baseball) League. I found a couple articles in my "BASEBALL" folder, and will probably uncover more and post them as they appear. As usual, Ralph Lucarella, our resident local sports expert from back in the day, came through with his unique recollection of the C-J league. For my winter project I am trying to find information about the Central Jersey Baseball league which operated in the late 40s and 50s with teams from Bordentown, Crosswicks a nd HamiltonSquare and others.

Hi Bob....the central jersey baseball league was dominated by the trenton cadets in the 40,s and 50,s. The Hamilton team with Fred Scully was also a strong team. It was a semi-pro league and very popular playing their home games at Wetzel Field.
