Trenton High School is one of Trenton's few remaining historic treasures. There has been talk of demolishing that historic red brick structure and replacing it with a newer building. As I page through thousands of pages of local Trenton newspapers from the 1930's, 1940's and 1950's, I find countless uplifting articles and photos of THS students who went to school to learn, participate in the many extra-curricular activities including the annual operetta, sports night, and other activities. Pride and discipline were just two of the pillars that contributed to the school's educational excellence. I have searched in vain for negative articles relating to incidents or cases where police were regular visitors to the school to restore law and order; that search was in vain.(THE ABOVE OPINION IS SOLELY THAT OF TOM GLOVER)
