In an earlier post on this blog, I published a photo of Ruth Margerum along with Shirley Whitebread and Thomas Glover as Kuser glee club singers. The song Shirley and I sang resulted in Shirley and I singing for the World War II soldiers at Fort Dix Walson hospital. I would bet that Pvt. Bill Hayes was the soldier who was with Miss Margerum when we went on that patriotic sojourn. I do recall a soldier was the driver,
