1943: IKE WILLIAMS: LOCAL BOXING LEGEND

He made headlines back in the early to mid 1940's with his incredible boxing prowess. Ike Williams owned a home on the curve where Central Avenue meets Park Avenue in Hamilton. His ranch home still stands in mute testimony to a great local boxer.

HI TOM .....IKE WILLIAMS WAS AN OUTSTANDING FIGHTER THROUGHOUT THE 1940S. HE SPONSORED A BASEBALL TEAM THAT BEAT THE 1948 SHROTHS, WHILE MY BROTHER CHUCK PLAYED. THE SCHROTHS WENT ON TO WIN THE AMERICAN LEGION WORLD SERIES THAT YEAR. IKE WOULD HAVE DONE MUCH BETTER IF HE DID'NT GET INVOLVED WITH THE PHILLY GANG. REGARDS.
