1866: (JULY) BREVET BRIGADIER GENERAL JAMES F. RUSLING

Perhaps one of the more underexposed persons in local history is James F. Rusling. Above tells of a national tour of inspection this trusted Trentonian completed back in post civil war America. General Rusling, was the founder of today's Broad Street Park. He also had vast real estate holdings in the Trenton-Hamilton area.

friends dad worked at Rusling Hose
Fire House. I did not know who it
was named after until I saw your
