1935: MARTIN BROTHERS GARAGE YARDVILLE

I combined the James Farley invoice for coal with the front facade of the Martin Garage in Yardville. To save graphic size, I have deleted part of the original Martin Garage photo. The original can be found by entering MARTIN GARAGE in the upper left "SEARCH BLOG" text entry white space.

Would love to know where the Martin Brothers Garage was located in Yardville?

Hi Heidi:

As I recall, Martin Brothers was on the west side of South Broad Street in the area by the railroad crossing near the old Blauth Hardware store. Perhaps an old time Yardville resident can be more specific.

Heidi: AN AFTERTHOUGHT
My colleague Gary Lippincott is a Groveville-Yardville historian. His website has a map referencing Martin Brothers. Check out this link:

There is also a link on my blog to Gary's blog. Contact him for verification of the location.

Martin Brothers was located on South Broad Street at the Railroad Crossing. At the crossing was the train station and next to it was Martin Brothers. This was located across from the Acme Market's present location. For Many years into the late 60's, the old Martin Brothers building was part of the Kaykor Products, manufacturers of specialty laminated plastic Sheeting.
