(I am assuming that the Joe in the photo is the very same
Joe I knew at those annual St. Anthony retreats)
Here's to Trenton High School
The Red and the Black
Here's to our High School
Nothing does she lack
Baseball, Track, and Football
She's a success
Now all together for THS. ...
Had to say it :)
Hi Tom: I remember all those players on both teams and recall the interest shown in those games. On Trenton High were George Case, a future star in the major leagues and Kelly Palumbo, manager of the Trenton Schroths when they won the American Legion World Series in 1948. Immaculate's team also had great players who also went far in the sporting world. Regards.
Tom and Ralph, Joe Schnorbus was a true friend to Junie Carr throughout his long illness and when he came out of the hospital Joe was there for him as a friend and helpful in getting Junie (my uncle) back in the mainstream of life. A REALLY GOOD GUY.
Mack, It is so funny that you have posted the Trenton High song. Though I went to Catholic school, that song frequency rings in the back mind. It sure was a catchy tune with easy lyrics.
Omad: That Trenton High Song is a catchy tune and is the original Cornel University's fight song with Trenton High School's lyrics, or maybe it was Columbia University. I'm not quite sure but the students at T.H.S. sure get worked up over it.mettio
Thanx Ralph, you are a real source of information. It has been 54 years since I lived in Trenton and I enjoy all the items on Tom's website. Still get together about once a month with old classmates and chat with them on line. Lived all over the world and am now back in Jersey at the shore.
