1909: HAPPY THANKSGIVING 100 YEARS AGO

Here's an ad from the Daily True American from 100 Thanksgiving Days ago. S.P. Dunham was one of the long time department stores in the Trenton area, and is sorely missed by those of us who were regular customers. Not being able to afford the upscale Trenton men's wear stores, yours truly found that Dunham's had quality men and womens' wear.

Hi Tom: I certainly agree with you about the Dunham's store. My dear late friend Sophie DeAngelo worked in the cosmetic dept for just about 50 years. My daughter also worked with her for awhile. When I could afford it in those days, I usually shopped at Swern's or Dunham's for things I cared about. I hope you and your family had a nice Thanksgiving Day. Regards, Ralph
