Richards Thompson preached that sermon in Trenton's First Methodist Church on South Broad Street in Trenton. Whether Roman Catholic or Protestant, there would have been a resounding "AMEN!" Mom Britton used to tell us the Sunday was a day of rest....or as she put it, "no servile work." As the article indicates, that religious custom was largely snuffed out by those who were not necessarily in agreement with the fourth commandment.
