1918: THE GREAT INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC

From the "DISASTERS" folder in the Local History Collection, a stark record of the terrible Spanish flu epidemic which swept the nation during WWI. Thousands were victims of the disastrous epidemic.

My Great Grandma Paulina Miczak Chech was one of the folks taken
away by the Spanish Flu. She was
27 years old and pregnant.
