1869: ST. PATRICK'S DAY 1869 IN TRENTON

As you can see by the two articles which appeared in the Daily State Gazette, very little attention was paid to St. Patrick's Day in the middle of the 19th century. Many of our Irish immigrants came to Trenton from Ireland during the potato famine in Ireland. Still others came here to work in the steel plant and the John A. Roebling plant.

The country started going downhill
when they let the Irish in , but its too late, we are already here ;)
45 million of us I think.

I love Irish music, The Hibernians
place on Kuser Road, Guiness, The Saint Pats Parade, and the Cross & Shamrock Irish Store on Rt33:)

I also love how the word SAINT
is embedded in the title of the
holiday. It can never be 100%
secularized.
God Bless America & Ireland:)
