1938: TRENTON'S WESTINGHOUSE PLANT

The "Trenton" magazine was a monthly publication published by the Trenton Chamber of Commerce. It is a wellspring of wonderful historic photos. The above cover from July 1938 illustrates employees heading home from the Westinghouse plant on Pennington Avenue in Trenton. "Sales Mean Jobs" was a slogan added to the cover to emphasize the fact that Trenton and America was recovering from the devastating "Great Depression."

I work in this building. It's now owned by "The Hibbert Group". Having started in 1881, they recently celebrated 125 years.
Having weathered 2 world wars and The Great Depression, I'm hoping they can stay the successful course with minimal jobs lost in these very trying times.
