Earlier this week in a previous web page, I posted a news photo of the C.V. Meade estate with a news photo of the mansion shown in the engraving above. This engraving is a true historic treasure. Today, that area is the site of Lockwood's Electric Motor Repair, the Hamilton Republican Club (former Barton Francis auto dealer), and on the Hamilton Avenue side the home of the Old Heidelberg Restaurant, today the site of DeFrank's Appliance store.

Loved seeing this picture! I grew up on the first street off of Hamilton Ave. where the road splits. (Saybrook Avenue) I am currently living in Illinois for the past 19 years now and this website is wonderful. I love seeing things from my past and things
(like what is in this picture) that were before my time. :)
