1944: JAPANESE ATROCITIES

MANY YEARS AFTER WWII, QUITE A NUMBER OF AMERICAN CITIZENS CRITICIZED THE DROPPING OF THE ATOMIC BOMB ON IMPERIAL JAPAN. IT IS INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT MOST OF THE COMPLAINERS WEREN'T AROUND DURING THOSE HORRIBLE YEARS OF WORLD WAR II. JAPAN MADE IT KNOWN THAT IF AN INVASION OF JAPAN WAS ATTEMPTED, THOUSANDS OF AMERICAN PRISONERS WOULD BE EXECUTED. SOME ESTIMATES OF THE NUMBER OF ALLIED PRISONERS IN JAPAN APPROACHED 100,000. JAPAN HAD ALREADY EXHIBITED HER CRUELTY WHEN NEWS OF THE BATAAN DEATH MARCH NEWS WAS REPORTED.
