2006: MAYOR'S PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THERE ARE STILL MANY OF US WHO GET GOOSE BUMPS AND A TEAR IN OUR EYE AS WE WATCH "OLD GLORY" PASS IN REVIEW, LED BY A BAND PLAYING SOUSA'S "STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER." THE MEN WHO ARE KEEPING THAT PATRIOTISM ALIVE AND WELL RESIDE RIGHT HERE IN THE HAMILTON-MERCER AREA. THE ABOVE PHOTOS WERE TAKEN ON THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDING OF THE "MAYOR'S PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE," AN ORGANIZATION FOUNDED DURING THE ADMINISTRATION OF MAYOR JACK RAFFERTY. TODAY, MAYOR GILMORE'S ADMINISTRATION CONTINUES IN SUPPORTING THIS INCREDIBLE GROUP OF LOCAL VETERANS. IF YOU ARE A VETERAN, THE PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE CORDIALLY INVITES YOU TO JOIN THIS SPECIAL GROUP WHICH IS DEDICATED TO THE PATRIOTIC HERITAGE OF AMERICA.
