1888: Trenton's "Skating Park"

This particular subject has been a fascinating one for me for many years. There are numerous references to the skating park in many winter editions of my local Trenton newspapers. The little building in the top center of the graphic is lifted from another article on the park, and taken from a Harry Podmore "Trenton in Bygone Days" column.
Close inspection of the map will show a darker shaded rectangular area which indicates the neighborhood in which the park was located. The building provided a place for the skaters to warm up and perhaps have a hot cup of coffee, tea, or perhaps some hot chocolate.
