1938: Colonial Firemen Planning an Outing

Here are the movers and shakers of the Colonial Volunteer Fire Co. planning for the 1938 outing. Once again, the familiar neighborhood names come to the fore, in times when Hamilton was much more rural and had a "small town" flavor. The fellow standing in the back row, second from the end is Johnny Rosner. I still remember him as the cigar smoking worker at Kuser Farm. Andy Oswald of the Colonial area's Oswald family brought back memories of Bobby Oswald, my childhood classmate at Kuser School and Hamilton High. And of course, thanks to Ms. Lorraine Feehan May, there's Mr.Feehan, who was very active in the Colonial neighborhood.
