1923: The Center City "Comfort Station"
How well I remember this old vestige from the past!
I would surmise that the EPA and other environmental folks would have a real problem with a "Comfort Station" in the center of town. Those of us who were around in the early 1940's and earlier will agree that Trenton has evolved into a city of glass encrusted high rise office buildings. Do you remember how South Warren Street continued south passing "Tilden" Brakes and Penn-Jersey stores? Forget it, those old Trenton landmarks aren't there any more. Indeed, South Warren Street veers to the left and joins So. Broad Street. Believe me, one could get lost in the city we all knew like the back of our hand!
